Company
Claymore Games started life as Dinky Dino Games way back in 2004. However after a year of correcting people on the spelling, Brian, the owner, decided a name change was in order. The name Claymore Games was immediately decided upon because of its Scottish origins.Claymore Games is run by two very talented individuals, Brian Hackett and Alan Grier (see the panels on the left for individual back stories and experience). Jana Moravcova (PR and design) occasionally helps out when the other two finally admit they don't know what they're doing.
We specialise in mobile phone games, however we are expanding into other territories, including iPhone and Android games, as well as web based titles. We pride ourselves in getting the most out of what little resources these platforms provide and always rate fun above anything else.
Primordial Soup is a custom built Build System and Engine designed to streamline development of Mobile Phone Games. Primordial Soup takes the hassle out of creating Mobile Phone Games by providing many of the basic framework features in an easy to use Engine (called Protein) and also automates the build process, which not only allows you to work from one code and resource base, but automatically arranges and sorts the different builds for each phone into separate folders (J2ME Version).
Primordial Soup is constantly being updated and expanded to support new features and new devices. All of Protein's classes are fully documented using the JavaDoc system and contains all of the information necessary to get the most out of each and every class.
With all of these features combined you will be able to squeeze more that you ever though possible into a JAR and do it in a shorter time period!
You can also download a more detailed and technical description of Primordial Soup here: Primordial Soup Features
Primordial Soup is now also available on iOS, with a few modifications to suit the platform (including being able to build and use Texture Atlases).
